SUMMARY:Clergy Support Trust Festival Service and Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Our Festival\, one of the oldest choral music events in the world\, is unique and extraordinary. In 2026\, it celebrates 371 years\, running continuously since 1655 with only two breaks; during the pandemic (2020) and the London Blitz (1940). The Service brings together three exceptional cathedral choirs to perform as one\, under the magnificent dome of St Paul’s Cathedral. This year\, we welcome the cathedral choirs of Blackburn and St Albans\, alongside the St Paul’s Cathedral Choir\, for what promises to be a majestic act of worship. \nThe Service is a key date in the Church\, City of London and choral music calendars\, and over the years composers including Edward Elgar have written music especially for the event. It includes a majestic procession of Bishops\, Masters of Livery Companies*\, representatives of the City of London\, Stewards of the Festival and other dignitaries. The Service at St Paul’s Cathedral (5pm) celebrates the ministry of the clergy households we serve. Tickets are free. The Dinner at Plaisterers’ Hall (7pm) is a networking and fundraising event\, to support our vital work. DESCRIPTION:Following the success of last year’s service\, tickets are now on sale for our second Christmas Carol Service. Join us at The King’s Chapel of The Savoy (London\, WC2R ODA) on Monday 1 December for an evening of celebration\, carolling and mince pies. \nThe Revd Canon Thomas Woodhouse\, Chaplain of The King’s Chapel of The Savoy\, will lead the service\, with friends of the Trust giving Bible readings and members of the chapel choir will lead us in song. \nA more exclusive affair than our annual Festival at St. Paul’s\, the chapel will open its doors to just 100 guests\, so please book early to avoid disappointment. DESCRIPTION:Join Clergy Support Trust in celebrating our 370th annual service of thanksgiving and fellowship at St Paul’s Cathedral.  This historic City event is anchored by the support of Livery Companies and the City of London\, and brings together three cathedral choirs from around the UK as part of the oldest choral festival in the world.   \nThis year\, the Cathedral Choirs of Bradford and Lichfield will be joining St Paul’s\, and our preacher will be The Right Reverend Dr Guli Francis-Dehqani\, Bishop of Chelmsford.  \nThe Service begins at 5pm\, with processions at 4.40pm\, and is followed by Dinner at the Plaisterers Hall. \nPlease do share the date widely with your members\, family\, friends\, colleagues and all others who might enjoy this extraordinary event.
