SUMMARY:Lord Mayor's Show Day at Stationers' Hall
DESCRIPTION:Members of Livery Companies and their families are invited to a two-course buffet lunch after what has been termed: “the greatest free show on earth”. This gives the perfect opportunity for all family members of those connected with Livery Companies\, especially children and grandchildren\, to experience Stationers’ Hall before and after the fabulous display of the Lord Mayor’s procession – bands\, horsemen\, coaches\, soldiers and many exciting floats and entertainers. \nThe Hall will be open from 10.15 am to 11.00 am for coffee\, tea and biscuits and then will close until 12.30 pm. Ludgate Hill and the vicinity of St Paul’s Cathedral offers a good standing view of the procession\, which starts to pass by at about 11.15 am. At 12.15 pm the Lord Mayor’s coach pauses at St Paul’s for a blessing on the steps of the Cathedral\, after which the Lord Mayor moves down Ludgate Hill on his way to the Royal Courts in the Strand. \nAt 12.30 pm a two-course hot buffet lunch will be served in the Hall\, together with a glass of wine (soft drinks for children). A voucher will be issued to those who have bought tickets on entering Stationers’ Hall for lunch. (It is important that you collect your vouchers on arrival\, as you will need to show them when you receive your lunch). There will be an opportunity to purchase additional drinks if you would like to. \nEntertainment will be provided in the form of a magician and a fabulous raffle. \nLivery Companies cost: £55.00 per person\nChildren: £30.00\nUnder 3 years old: Free \nEmail: events@stationers.org

DESCRIPTION:This year’s St Ceciliatide Festival is focused on this one concert\, and we are delighted to welcome a return visit from the outstanding Britten Sinfonia Chamber Soloists who are presenting a typically entertaining and inspiring programme\, devised by their CEO\, Meurig Bowen\, combining the folksiness of Veress\, the playful humour of Richard Strauss with the magical drama of Britten\, played by solo oboe from the Hall’s Minstrels’ Gallery.
