You will be Shaken\, Not Stirred if you don’t book your place now. They will be tickets to die for. \nThe evening will include a champagne reception\, cocktails (your first Martini is on the house!) music\, dancing\, “fun money” casino with roulette and blackjack tables\, and a  silent auction with amazing lots. \nDine on delicious Bond-themed bowl food and late night snacks. Your wine and soft drinks included. \nDress code is Black tie/evening dress/Bond story characters  – it’s your chance to be a movie character of style. There’ll be champagne for the best Bond character. \nWe’re expecting up to 150 guests so it’s important to book early.\nDon’t miss out on our special Early Bird Discount if you book before May 31 there’s a special price of £125 per person. DESCRIPTION:Now in its fifth year\, the Coopers’ Cask Race has become recognised as the City’s premier sporting event. Teams of four from livery companies\, ward clubs\, civic bodies\, and corporate sponsors compete in a fast-paced contest of strength\, skill\, and teamwork\, rolling full-sized casks across the cobbles of Guildhall Yard in pursuit of the championship title. \nThe race combines tradition\, rivalry\, and fellowship in one of the most spirited occasions of the livery year. DESCRIPTION:Join the Founders’ Company\, in partnership with the Benjamin Franklin Museum and St Bartholomew the Great\, for a fun\, family‑friendly Fourth of July celebration at Founders’ Hall. \nCloth Fair has a special connection to American history. Just next door at St Bartholomew the Great\, Benjamin Franklin lived and worked as a young printer during his formative years in London\, while nearby in Whitechapel the Liberty Bell\, an enduring symbol of the Fourth of July\, was cast in 1752 before being shipped to Philadelphia. That link is particularly meaningful for the Founders’ Company\, as the Whitechapel Bell Foundry was led in its final years by Alan Hughes\, our Immediate Past Master. This celebration is enthusiastically supported by the Master and our American Consort\, Tom\, who are keen to share the day with as many friends as possible. We think these links make Cloth Fair a fitting and authentic place to celebrate Independence Day with our American friends in London. \nOur informal summer event marks 250 years since American Independence\, celebrating Independence Day with our American friends living in London and the wider community. The focus is on food\, music\, games\, and good company. A joyful cultural celebration suitable for guests of all ages.

SUMMARY:Cart Marking - Worshipful Company of Carmen
DESCRIPTION:The regulation of carts dates back over 750 years to the early days of the City\, when the ever entrepreneurial Carmen charged cart owners to operate their carts in the City! Having paid for a licence\, a mark would be burnt onto your wooden cart to allow that cart to ply for trade ‘for hire or reward’ for the forthcoming year. To enable that cart to continue in use\, a new mark would be branded each year on payment of the licence fee. \nEvery year the Cart Marking Parade re-enacts the branding ceremony\, vehicles are no longer limited to wooden carts\, of course; the parade now includes horse-drawn carriages\, steam engines\, fire engines\, vans\, ambulances\, bicycles\, removal vans\, electric trucks who parade along Gresham Street and through the Guildhall Arch to be branded for the princely sum of five shillings! \nWhatever the weather on the day\, join us in the Guildhall Courtyard or explore the route parade to see a really eclectic mix of all things wheeled!

There will be a plate competition as well as the main finals so all teams get minimum 4 games.\nCOST – £500 per team. The event is for the Paviors’ Charity to support their education mission for children and NEETs\nFood – ticket includes a breakfast bap. DESCRIPTION:This year’s Facilities Management and Built Environment Trade Dinner will take place on 16th September 2026 at Painter-Stainers’ Hall\, so please save the date now. \nThe dinner for the FM and the Built Environment is the annual black-tie livery dinner held by the Pattenmakers to celebrate the people\, projects and concepts and innovations leading the way in property and Facilities Management – its available to all\, so whether you are a Pattenmakers or not\, we welcome anyone that is involved in the sector. It also constitutes a lovely way to discover the fellowship and philanthropy that the livery movement offers. \nWe are delighted to have a pre-dinner presentation this year entitled: ‘Behind the Games – Delivering the Commonwealth Games’. An insider’s look at how the Glasgow Commonwealth Games were planned\, mobilised and delivered\, from operations\, infrastructure and logistics to workforce\, venues and the thousands of hours required to bring a major international event to life. Fascinating insights for all to learn about. \nOur after-dinner speech will be by Paul May – Chair and Co-Founder of Trivandi\, the organisation that have facilitated the FM at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and have been involved in other mega events such as the London Olympics. \nWe far too often consider FM simply in terms of the office workplace and ignore all the work that happens in other sectors such Healthcare\, Transportation\, Education and Stadiums\, up and down the country. Paul will provide a forward thinking reflection on the power of mega events to shape cities\, inspire people and leave a lasting legacy. Drawing on the lessons from the Glasgow Games and the transformative impact of the 2012 Summer Olympics\, he’ll ask ‘what makes a great host city?’ and reflect on a future Olympic bid too. \nJoin the Pattenmakers and their guests on the 16th September 2026\, to celebrate what makes FM & the Built Environment such a fantastic sector to work in.

DESCRIPTION:The No. 11 Group Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge in West London co-ordinated the fighter squadrons defending London and the South East\, including the crucial Battle of Britain and D-Day operations. \nThis private one-hour guided tour will take you back in time\, presenting the sights and sounds of wartime action. Descending 76 steps to the operations room\,  you will see the original plotting table and squadron status board\, set as they were on 15 September 1940. \nThe pressure and drama of wartime come to life – and you may even see Winston Churchill there\, puffing on his cigar. \nAbove ground\, a modern visitor centre explains Britain’s pioneering air-defence system through interactive displays and real artefacts\, with galleries on the Polish airmen and aircrew’s personal stories. Full-size Spitfire and Hurricane replicas\, a café and gift shop complete the experience. DESCRIPTION:Celebrating two decades\, the Annual City Livery Concert has become a much-loved fixture in the City of London calendar: both a vibrant showcase of the rich arts and culture of the Square Mile\, and an opportunity for the LSO to express its gratitude to the companies\, clubs and guilds whose continued support enables world-leading music-making on their doorstep. \nConducted by LSO Chief Conductor Sir Antonio Pappano\, this year’s programme opens with Anatoly Liadov’s The Enchanted Lake. Bursting with orchestral colour and atmosphere\, this miniature masterpiece of Russian Romanticism conjures a magical\, dreamlike world that feels both mysterious and utterly transporting. Mezzo-soprano Fleur Barron then joins the Orchestra for the world premiere of Hannah Kendall’s I have discovered the secret of death. One of today’s most exciting compositional voices\, Kendall brings a powerful contemporary perspective to this eagerly anticipated new work\, commissioned by the LSO. \nThe evening concludes with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No 5\, one of the great orchestral masterpieces: a thrilling journey from darkness to triumph\, filled with unforgettable melodies and sweeping emotion. By turns tragic\, passionate and heroic\, it remains one of the most moving works in the symphonic repertoire. We invite you to bring family to share in this celebratory evening\, and there are a wide range of restaurants and dining options in the Barbican and surrounding area should you wish to make a full evening of your visit. \nThe concert will begin at 7pm.
