DESCRIPTION:The Livery Climate Action Group has announced its 4th in person Conference that will explore the topic of Are we prepared? \nIt will address the implications for our finances\, buildings\, food supply chains and ourselves by the impact of climate change and extreme weather events. We are gathering our speakers but these will include Baroness Brown ( Julia King) and City Sheriff\, Keith Bottomley\, with others listed on the site below and more to follow. We have a cohort of schools exhibiting who will doubtless challenge us all. We are supported\, so far\, by the City of London Corporation and the Merchant Taylors’ Livery. DESCRIPTION:The aim of the Lectures programme is to inspire and motivate young people employed in the UK’s £3bn super yacht\, boat design and boat building industry\,\nIn 2011 The Worshipful Company of Shipwrights\, with the support of the University of Southampton\, laid the foundation for a series of Annual Lectures to be presented to apprentices\, young shipwrights\, students and graduates by invited industry leaders. The purpose being to inspire and motivate young people engaged in the UK’s £3 billion unique international position in the super yacht\, yacht and boat design and building industry. The annual lectures are held in Southampton each year and are free to all attendees.
