Further to the details provided in the Livery Impact Report 2025, we have pleasure in giving a further update on the No Going Back (NGB) project that was featured in the report, together with their latest business plan.
Francesca Findlater OBE, Executive Head of NGB, said:
We’ve worked hard to rise above the challenges of the charitable sector and as well as invaluable assistance from the Livery movement we have been aided enormously by the individuals who have helped us by walking, running and crossing Italy to raise money for us through their charitable endeavours. Like all charities, funding is a priority and we are delighted to have London Marathon places for 2027 and 2028 so please do contact us if you’d like to join us to change lives.
Together 42 Livery Companies have helped to create a model of success that is transforming lives and saving public money. Our reoffending rate remains consistently low at just 4%, compared with a national average of 46%. Independent analysis shows that for every individual who does not reoffend, the Government saves around £46,000 per year — meaning the collective impact of our work now represents over £17 million in social and economic value.
Through No Going Back we’ve helped more than 2400 prison leavers on the rehabilitation journey which includes training, housing assistance, and sustainable employment. Our approach — linking practical help with mentoring and wellbeing support — continues to prove that collaboration between the Livery, business partners, and the criminal justice system can change lives even at a time when the justice system has its challenges.
NGB CLEAN, launched in 2023 with the support of the Environmental Cleaners, now has the endorsement of leading industry bodies including WCEC, BICs, CSSA and has gone from strength to strength. With contracts across London, including for the Livery, it now has a turnover target this year of £750,000, bringing us closer to the point where it can contribute directly to the Foundation’s core costs. Should you have a cleaning contract coming up please do get in touch or mention us to others, the team do an excellent job and have outstanding testimonials.
Over 200 volunteers from the Livery and business community now give their time to deliver workshops and mentoring, while 17 peer Ambassadors — all former participants — play an increasing role in motivating others through their lived experience.Looking ahead, No Going Back has expanded into the community to provide more holistic, wraparound support, including mental health and wellbeing programmes, peer mentoring, and local initiatives that sustain long-term change, and it has also created a delivery model that supports other charities.
No Going Back welcomes new Volunteers and supporters and look forward to hearing from anyone that wants to find out more.
