Pollinating London Together’s Equinox Dinner

The evening will begin with an update from our Chairman on PLT’s impactful work across the city. But the highlight of the night will undoubtedly be our esteemed guest speaker, Professor Phil Stevenson from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. As the Priority Leader of Trait Diversity and Function, Professor Stevenson’s work on plant and fungal traits plays a vital role in conservation and enhancing ecosystem resilience. His expertise, particularly in the chemistry of nectar and pollen, offers fascinating insights into how plants interact with pollinators and how this knowledge can be harnessed to promote sustainable food systems.

This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from one of the leading voices in plant chemistry and ecological function. Professor Stevenson also holds a dual role as Professor of Plant Chemistry at the Natural Resources Institute, University of Greenwich, making him uniquely positioned to explore the intersections between science and sustainable agriculture.
