Ceremony and Splendour: A History of Coronation Dress and Jewels

£25A lecture by Caroline de Guitaut, Deputy Surveyor of The King’s Works of Art at the Royal Collection Trust, hosted by The Creative Dimension Trust at Clothworkers’ Hall.
This lecture will focus on the 19th and 20th centuries, exploring the origins, design, and evolution of Coronation dress and jewels – from the richly embroidered fashionable dresses to the magnificent robes to the Crown Jewels worn on these momentous and glittering occasions.
Doors open at 6.30 for a 7.00pm lecture. Tickets are £25 per person and include a glass of Fortnum and Mason champagne upon arrival; 100% of proceeds from the ticket sales will go to support the charity, The Creative Dimension Trust, and the workshops it holds to support young people in developing craft skills.
