Ann Holmes was elected in April and recently installed as the new Chief Commoner of the City of London for 2023-24.
She is the latest incumbent of an office that dates back to 1444, and has told of her enormous privilege in taking on the new role.
Ann has lived in the Farrington Within Ward for more than two decades, half of which has been spent representing her Ward in the City as a Common Councilman.
Ann is a Court Assistant with the Worshipful Company of Cordwainers and was elected by the Court of Common Council, the City’s primary decision-making body.
