BARBICAN ARCHITECTURE TOURS
Did you know the Barbican’s theatre and concert hall go deeper underground than the nearest Tube line; early plans for the Centre included a Pyramid; and that the iconic dolphin fountain is a Grade II listed structure—along with the rest of the estate? Experience a guided tour of a venue that’s hosted some of the world’s most celebrated cultural drivers, transformers and stars—from the RSC to James Bond, the London Symphony Orchestra to Harry Styles, Les Misérables to Call the Midwife, and Cate Blanchett to Kylie.

BLACK HISTORY WALKING TOUR
The Culture Mile BID has commissioned renowned expert Tony Warner to curate and deliver a walking tour uncovering the fascinating stories of Black Londoners in this unique area of the Square Mile. Tours are free but you must reserve your spot.

POWER AND PRIDE: BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION
The City of London Corporation, in collaboration with City Black Employee Resource Groups (CBERG), invites you to this year’s Black History Month Reception – an evening of celebration, style, and empowerment. Inspired by the Met Gala, this year’s theme – Standing Firm in Power and Pride – encourages you to showcase your creativity and individuality through your attire. Whether it’s the tailored elegance of Black Dandyism, ancestral pride, avant-garde flair, or Afrofuturist imagination, let your style tell a story of power and pride. It will also see the launch of Black in the Square Mile, bringing together black networks and individuals across the City.

CELEBRATING LIGHT AND COMMUNITY: DIWALI AND SOUTH ASIAN NETWORK LAUNCH
The City of London Corporation invites you to this year’s Diwali celebration in Guildhall. This reception will also launch South Asians in the City, our next City Belonging Network, bringing together South Asian networks and workers across the City. This event will bring together members of the City’s Hindu, Sikh and Jain communities, as well as individuals with an interest in interfaith engagement to mark this important religious festival.
