Do you know an outstanding Liveryman who deserves recognition?

To mark its Centenary the City Livery Club launched the prestigious Root and Branch Award to recognise an outstanding Liveryman.

It is looking for a Liveryman:

“Who has made an exceptional contribution to the work of their Livery, or wider Livery, and enhanced the understanding or profile of the Livery, and promoted fellowship within it.”

The award is open to all Freemen & Liverymen, including The Parish Clerks, Watermen and Lightermen, and Companies and Guilds recognised by the Court of Aldermen.

The winner is awarded the Root and Branch Medal, by The Lord Mayor, a £1000 to a Charity of their choice, and a year’s complementary membership of the City Livery Club.

Nominations are made, in confidence, on forms be available at the City Livery Club and must have the endorsement of the Master of the nominees Livery Company.

The closing date this year is 2nd April 2024.
