The First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (Princess Royal’s Volunteer Corps) (FANY (PRVC)) is inviting expressions of interest from women living or working in London who are seeking a unique volunteering opportunity built around service, training and operational support.
Founded in 1907, FANY (PRVC) is an all-female voluntary organisation whose members train regularly and deploy rapid response teams in support of civil and military authorities during times of crisis. Alongside emergency operations, the Corps also undertakes non-operational deployments and provides specialist support and training to partner organisations.
The Corps accepts expressions of interest throughout the year, with its current annual recruitment window open until Tuesday 14 July.
FANY (PRVC) continues to build on a proud history of service while maintaining strong links with the City and Livery community. Recently, a new mess dress uniform was provided to the Corps through the generous support of the Worshipful Company of Grocers and the Merchant Taylors’ Company. The new grey and scarlet uniform has been fully funded to ensure members can wear it at no personal cost, reflecting both the Corps’ heritage and its ongoing commitment to service.
Support from Livery Companies continues to play an important role in sustaining the capability and traditions of affiliated organisations such as FANY (PRVC), helping ensure they remain ready to respond when needed most.
Women who live or work in London and are interested in joining the Corps can find further information and register their interest via the FANY (PRVC) website.
