Lord Mayor is re-elected

Under the official guidance of the Livery Committee, Alderman William Russell was re- elected Lord Mayor of The City of London at Common Hall on 29 September 2020.

Common Hall followed strict public health guidelines issued by the City of London Corporation.

The Lord Mayor, the Sheriffs, Livery Companies (represented by 61 Liverymen), the Court of Aldermen, the Officers of the Court, the Lady Mayoress, the Sheriffs’ Consorts and the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Livery Committee were all present to participate in and witness the proceedings.

We would like to thank the Corporation for its assistance in ensuring the successful and safe conduct of this historic occasion.
