Last chance to join exclusive Thamesmead tour on 10th June

Last Updated on 04/06/2026

There is still time to book your place for the exclusive Pollinating London Together walking tour of Thamesmead on 10th June, from 10:00am to 11:30am.

This is a rare opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes insight into how Peabody manages one of London’s most remarkable urban landscapes. Led by Dr Phil Askew, Peabody’s Director of Landscape, and Anthony Bickmore, PLT Board Member, the tour will showcase the transformative impact of investing in green infrastructure, biodiversity and sustainable placemaking.

As custodians of over 280 hectares of green space, five lakes and seven kilometres of canals, Peabody is delivering an ambitious programme of landscape improvements across Thamesmead. During the tour, you’ll see first-hand examples of revitalised housing courtyards, enhanced community spaces and major biodiversity improvements around Southmere Lake.

Whether you are interested in urban nature, biodiversity, landscape management or sustainable development, this promises to be a fascinating and inspiring visit.

Meeting Point: The Nest Community Building, Cygnet Square, SE2 9FA
