Save the date – Prioritising today’s societal changes – 1st June

Last Updated on 30/03/2026

The Livery Charity Chairs Group (LCCG) has announced the first details plus a “save the date” call for its early evening seminar on Monday 1st June between 4pm and 7pm.

Hilary Lindsay  and Denise Fellows of the LCCG said:

“While we have completed our three years of fundraising with the Livery Food initiative, we are sadly aware that food insecurity is now the new normal. This is also the case with other related issues that have also become embedded. In response, on 1 June, at Drapers’ Hall, the Livery Charity Chairs Group will be holding an early evening seminar on the theme of  Prioritising Today’s Societal Challenges.

Many Livery Charitable Funds are facing an unprecedented number of applications for grants. This event with keynote speakers from across the charity sector aims to provide an overview of the societal challenges and help you prioritise your response for greater impact.

The event will commence at 4:30pm with registration from 4pm and there will be the opportunity to hear from expert speakers on the challenges facing the charity sector. The formal event will close at 6:15pm following which there will be a drinks reception until 7:00pm.

Do please ensure the date is in your diary now: Monday 1st June from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The event will be free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the Drapers’ Company. There are up to three places available for each Livery Company. We will be sending out a formal invitation and booking form next week. This event is designed to be complementary to our conference on 16th June.

Meanwhile, if you haven’t seen it, do have a look at the piece about City Harvest on Comic Relief with the remarkable Jose driving our very own Livery Food Initiative Van.”
