For more than 800 years, the Lord Mayor’s Show has celebrated the unique traditions, pageantry and civic life of the City of London.
Saturday 14th November will mark the return of the Aldermen’s carriages which offers a particularly exciting opportunity for members of the Livery Fellowship to take part in one of the most historic spectacles in the City calendar.
For centuries, the Livery Companies have stood at the heart of the City’s governance, charitable activity and ceremonial life. By joining the procession, Fellowship members not only honour that rich heritage but help bring it to life for the thousands of spectators who line the streets and the millions who watch around the world.
Walking alongside the Aldermen’s carriages, participants will become part of a living tradition that stretches back to medieval times, celebrating the enduring contribution of the Livery movement to the City of London. Whether you are a long-standing liveryman, freeman or newcomer to the Fellowship, this is a unique chance to represent your Company, showcase the strength of the Livery community and play a visible role in one of the world’s oldest and most iconic civic events.
