The Livery Charity Chairs Group is going from strength to strength and now has 100 members from 85 Livery companies and Guilds.
Membership of the group is free and gives access to quarterly ‘Hot topic updates’, informal Zoom drop ins and a WhatsApp group. Most importantly members become part of a network of colleagues all trying to help make Livery Charities better at attracting funds, better at running themselves and so able to help more people in more ways through the grants they make. If your Charity is not yet a member you can download the application form.
With five weeks still to go there are already very healthy bookings for the second Annual Livery Charity Chairs Group Conference, to be held at Ironmongers’ Hall from 13:30 on Tuesday 13th June. The full programme and impressive list of speakers is available here. The event is open to Livery Charity Chairs and Trustees and Masters and Clerks and anyone else with an interest in attending. The closing date for bookings is Monday 5th June and the booking form can be downloaded here.
And, not to be outdone, the Livery Food Initiative, launched by LCCG last December, has now raised over £185,000 of the £190,000 needed to run its first LFI City Harvest Van for three years. This will enable food for 2.4 million meals to be delivered to charities around London. The Food Task Group is now turning its attention to raising funds for a second much-needed vehicle. You can read much more about the Livery Food Initiative on the City Harvest website.
