Despite the best efforts of so many, the challenges around food poverty continue to grow. The Livery Food Initiative is very keen that across the Livery we understand the issues and the extent of the problem so that we can all do what we can to raise awareness.

2025 request from the Livery Food initiative
The Livery Food Initiative and City Harvest are so grateful to the many Companies and Guilds who in 2023 raised the £190,000 needed to put a City Harvest van on the road for three years, and in 2024 have raised over £200,000 towards the £270,000 needed for a much larger truck.
Livery Food Initiative Truck passes the half a million meals mark
On 9th September Livery Companies gathered at the Old Bailey at a Livery Food Initiative “Thank You” Reception hosted by Alderwoman and Sheriff Dame Susan Langley.
Livery Food Initiative seminar at Drapers’ Hall on Monday 1st July
As part of its campaign to raise awareness of the scale of food insecurity and the food redistribution ecosystem, the Livery Food Initiative will be holding a seminar on the theme of “Addressing Food Insecurity” on 1 July at Drapers’ Hall, Throgmorton Street, London EC2N 2AN. There are up to two places available for every Livery Company and Guild.
The Livery Food Initiative Truck is launched by the Lord Mayor
On March 5th 60 members from 30 Livery Companies joined the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs outside Mansion House to celebrate the Lord Mayor handing over the keys to a 7.5 tonne Truck to City Harvest Chairman Stephen Winningham.

The launch of the newest Livery Food Initiative Truck will be on Tuesday 5th March at 15:00 outside Mansion House.
