The Royal Air Force Air Cadets London and South East Region is incredibly grateful for the generous support recently provided by two City of London Livery Companies: the Worshipful Company of Tallow Chandlers and the Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers.
Their investment in the LaSER (London & South East Region) Band will create life-changing opportunities for young people across the region, helping cadets access musical training, develop new skills and represent their communities through performance.
This support will enable greater access to instruments, training camps and music activities, while also helping to strengthen regional capability and promote inclusion. The Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers has additionally chosen to support digital inclusion, helping ensure even more cadets can benefit from these opportunities.
The impact of this support extends far beyond music. Through participation in the band, cadets develop confidence, discipline, teamwork, leadership and resilience, qualities that serve them throughout their lives. Whether performing at local events, the Lord Mayor’s Show, or the City of London Cadet Music Competition at Guildhall, these young musicians are proud ambassadors for the RAF Air Cadets.
We hope this marks the beginning of a long and rewarding partnership and look forward to welcoming our supporters to future performances, camps and competitions so they can see first-hand the difference their generosity is making.
Thank you to the Worshipful Company of Tallow Chandlers and the Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers for investing in the next generation and helping cadet music flourish across London and the South East.
