Autumn Newsletter

As the vibrant colours of autumn begin to blanket our city, we are excited to share the latest updates from Pollinating London Together! This season not only marks a time of harvest and reflection but also serves as a reminder of the critical role pollinators play in our ecosystem. In this newsletter, we celebrate our recent achievements, highlight upcoming events, and explore ways we can continue to advocate for the health of our local environment. Together, let’s embrace the beauty of this season while working towards a sustainable future for our cherished pollinators.

In September we hosted an Equinox dinner at Grocers Hall, bringing together members and supporters to celebrate progress in promoting pollinator conservation. Guests enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails and a warm welcome from the Master Grocer, Guy Chisenhale-Marsh, who highlighted the hall’s history and PLT’s mission. Chairman John Burton reflected on the organisation’s achievements over the past three years, followed by a compelling talk from guest speaker Professor Phil Stevenson from Kew Gardens, who emphasized the urgent need to protect pollinators. We teamed up with our corporate members CMS for a pollinator netting and ID session. Gathering to learn about local pollinator species while engaging with hands-on netting. Find out more.

We recently partnered with the Renaissance Foundation for an engaging city walk and netting event. Exploring local green spaces while learning about pollinator species and their habitats. Find out more.
