UPDATE: Company of Painter-Stainers launches Painters’ Art Sale

UPDATE: Thank you to all those who have visited the Painters’ Art Sale website  since its launch on 7 September. Every work displayed in this all new online selling exhibition of original paintings and drawings is being sold at the same affordable price of £300.

There is no entry fee and the artist will receive £205 for each work sold and the balance will go to support the Painter-Stainers’ Scholarship scheme at London Art Colleges.

I am delighted to advise that over 50 pictures have been purchased from the initial display of 250 and a newly introduced feature of the website is “The Ones You’ve Missed” – a gallery of the work sold.

The sale runs until 31 December and as new pictures are being vetted and added every week please do ensure that you visit the site on a regular basis.

The Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers is pleased to announce the launch of the Painters’ Art Sale on 7th September 2020. This exciting development is an all new online selling exhibition of original paintings and drawings, designed to support artists during the Coronavirus and beyond.

We hope that emerging and established artists will enter one or two pictures and we aim to sell as many works as possible, providing invaluable support to artists in need of a marketplace. Every work will be marketed at the same affordable price of just £300. There is no entry fee and the artist will receive £200 for each work sold. The balance will go to support the Painters’ Scholarship programme of the Painters’ Company Charities.

A letter to all artists

Dear Artist

The charitable subsidiary of the Painter-Stainers Livery Company, co-founders of the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize, is excited to launch a new online selling exhibition of original paintings and drawings, designed to support artists during the Coronavirus and beyond. We hope you will join other emerging and established artists by entering ONE or TWO works to our first ever “Painters’ Art Sale” (www.painterstainersart.com).

We aim to sell as many works as possible, providing invaluable support to artists in need of a marketplace. Every work will be marketed at the same affordable price of just £300. There is no entry fee and you receive £200 for each work sold. The balance goes to support the arts educational programme sponsored by the Painters’ Company Charities.

Entering work into this first-ever “Painters’ Art Sale” provides a perfect opportunity to sell fresh new work to a wider audience.

We welcome paintings and drawings:

  • Figurative, representational or abstract
  • Executed in oil, tempera, acrylic, ink, vinyl, watercolour or other dry mediums
  • No size limitations or obligation to frame
  • No need to send in the original work – just a digital image and a description for uploading onto our website
  • We ask you to arrange delivery directly to your purchaser – we even transfer an additional £5 to pay you for the delivery charge.

Full details of these arrangements are included in the Terms and Conditions.

The exhibition goes live on 7th September 2020 and remains online for the next four months. So, there’s no time to waste. Enter one or two works in time to reach us by 31st August 2020 to ensure you get the benefit of our launch promotion. Works entered after that date are also welcome and will be uploaded and included in on-going promotional campaigns.

There’s an Entry Form available for download. Complete this Form and return it together with a high quality, digital image of your work(s) to admin@painterstainersart.com.

If you have any questions, telephone our exhibition administrators at 07854 898580 or 07946 637811

We look forward to selling your work on our new “Painters’ Art Sale” website www.painterstainersart.com.
