Livery Food Initiative’s first van to be launched
6 March 2023 @ 11:30 - 12:00
The Livery Charity Chairs Group is delighted that thanks to the really generous funding received so far for the Livery Food Initiative, City Harvest are well on the way to having the funds needed to keep one of their vans van rolling for three years, having raised almost £150,000 of the total £190,000 costs. To celebrate this first milestone, City Harvest are currently wrapping a van with Livery Food Initiative logos to endorse the support being given to City Harvest.
At 11:30 on Monday 6th March the Lord Mayor, Alderman Nicholas Lyons, Sheriff Andrew Marsden and their Consorts will be assembling outside Mansion House in Walbrook for the launch of this first van. During the event the Lord Mayor will say a few words and hand over the keys of the van to City Harvest, so that the much needed food deliveries the Livery Food Initiative has been raising money for can begin.
All are welcome to attend – please reply to Hilary Lindsay at liveryfoodinitiative@gmail.com if you hope to be there.
